As the holiday season approaches there are so many families that have been displaced as a result of hurricane Matthew and are now struggling to meet their family’s basic needs. Most of our service projects for this month are directed to helping our own community fulfill needs and holiday wishes.
**All donations can be brought to Kiwanis meetings and will be distributed to members collecting for these projects.
Non-Perishable Food Donations:
Ketterlinus and Crookshank Thanksgiving / Holiday Food Drives – Please bring canned food to weekly meetings. Someone will pick up and distribute to the schools or you may take contributions directly to one of our schools.
K-Kids will be organizing the food into family size bags to be distributed to needy families with children in our schools.
Nov. 22 – Ketterlinus K-Kids organizing food bags

Ginny is collecting items for Blessing Bags. Please see page 1 of attached for list of items needed. These will be given to homeless kids in our school district. Please bring contributions to weekly meetings.
Washcloths, Pillowcases, children and youth t-shirts:
Materials needed for our school clubs who will be doing sewing projects during the winter months. Clubs will be making pillowcases for nursing home, pillowcase dresses (can also be made out of cotton fabric), washcloth toiletry kits and/or shorts for boys.
Cute kids pillowcases
5/8 yd. of any cotton print material (used for dresses for girls or pillowcases projects)
Children and Youth size t-shirts to make shorts for boys.
